Ocean groupage for cargo that does not fill a container
LCL — less than container load — means your cargo travels in a container shared with other consignments. You pay for the volume you actually occupy instead of for a full box.
The professional value of LCL is not the freight rate itself: it is the accuracy of consolidation, stuffing and documentation at origin, which is exactly where DTS works.
